GOLD COAST QUADDIE

- TOM HACKETT LADBROKES

Race 6 – 2YO Jewel (1200m) Plumaro showed a terrific turn-of-foot last start to win at Doomben and she is a filly with plenty of talent. She has drawn wide, but gets back anyway and will be charging home. Mishani Hustler recorded an impressive win on debut and has the scope to improve. Hopes Eternal is yet to produce a poor performance. Boomsara won well at the Gold Coast on debut.

Selections: 9 Plumaro, 3 Mishani Hustler, 1 Hopes Eternal, 5 Boomsara

Race 7 – 3YO Jewel (1200m) The wide barrier draw is minor concern but Johnny Whitesox can overcome it. He improves each time that he goes to the races and he has an excellent turn of foot. Skate To Paris chased him home last start and can do the same again. Sista Act failed to fire at Warwick but she is a much better horse than that effort suggests. Bimini Road looks the likely leader and will be in the race a long way. Selections: 2 Johnny Whitesox, 7 Skate To Paris, 8 Sista Act, 15 Bimini Road

Race 8 – Goldmarket (1200m) Snitzkraft has been freshened up since her chased home Viddora in the Magic Millions Sprint. On his best form he has a genuine class edge over this field. You can’t knock the form of Malvern Estate and he maps to get a soft run. Upstart Pride was excellent last start and makes his own luck. Boomwaa doesn’t win out of turn but rarely runs a bad race. Selections: 4 Snitzkraft, 6 Malvern Estate, 2 Upstart Pride, 9 Boomwaa

Race 9 – Class 6 Hcp (1400m) Plucky Girl has recorded two wins on the trot and she has never missed the placings in seven starts at the Gold Coast. She has drawn wide but has the speed to push forward. Karakabeel looks to have returned to the races in career best form and his second-up record is strong. Sea The Sparkle is always thereabouts in these sort of races. Martinelli is racing well and can handle the step-up in grade.

Selections: 7 Plucky Girl, 5 Karakabeel, 16 Sea The Sparkle, 3 Martinelli
