CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

-

Q

You have had three seasons in the AFL now, what do you consider to be highlights so far?

A

The last couple of years haven’t had huge success in terms of winning but your first game is always a massive highlight, that was pretty special. I remember I was a substitute and I took the vest off and was standing on the interchange bench ready to come on. The whole crowd went nuts and were cheering for me to come on. It was at Subiaco against GWS. The wins you do have, especially at home in front of massive crowds, it is pretty special to share that with the boys. When you win everyone is up and about you go into the change rooms you know the coaches are going to be happy. Clubs are really good places to be when you’re winning.

Q

I’ve been told you are a pretty quiet customer, would you agree with that?

A

Yeah I am. I keep to myself a fair bit. I’m not a big talker but that is one area of my leadership I want to grow and build on. Off the field I’m quite relaxed and laid back.

Q

Is there anything outside of surfing and sunnies you like to spend your spare time doing?

A

I started a commerce degree at Griffith University. That will be challenging now with all of the travel we have got early in the season. Doing the renovations to the house has kept me fairly busy. I didn’t rush in to anything big this year because I just want to focus on settling in to my new club and work on my footy. I’m sure something will pop up down the track.
