TRY XEN AND THE ART OF ELECTRIFIED
Who doesn’t feel like dancing right now?
This has to be one of the most exciting times in history for our city, so let’s celebrate with some live music and a feel-good party vibe.
Bleach* Festival is looking after our off-track need to celebrate the culture of the great Gold Coast, and one of the signature events is tonight’s Bleach* Electrified.
It’s a night where visual art and music performances collide with a selection of the country’s finest new acts taking over the stage with explosions of colour, light and truly innovative pop music.
Headlined by Brisbane’s own festival favourites, Confidence Man, with culture, language and genre bridging Electric Fields and Gold Coast electronic music producer, vocalist and visual artist, Michelle Xen, this is art pop in its truest form.
Local lady Michelle will open at 7pm, bringing the beats and sounds crafted on her laptop, her collaborative videos, creative sculptures and fantastic, fabulous sense of design to the stage.
Electric Fields will follow from 8pm, featuring music producer and composer Michael Ross alongside the voice of Zaachariaha Fielding – who often uses the traditional language of the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara people.
Described as ‘two feminine brothers’, this duo merge living traditional culture with electronic music creating intensely intimate story-songs.
Last on stage at 9pm is Man of the moment: Confidence Man. The Brisbane duo last year debuted at Glastonbury Festival and brought the house down, selling out later shows in the UK and being named track of the week on BBC 1 radio.
Their performances on Oz soil have gone viral, so get ready to get down and go down in history at Bleach* Electrified.
