WATCH STARS BURN BRIGHT AT FILM FEST
With a city so picture-perfect, it’s little wonder our film festival is a blockbuster hit.
The 2018 Gold Coast Film Festival has officially launched, so now it’s time to sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Or rather, get out and about and enjoy the shows.
Screening around 40 feature films, 125 shorts, and hosting more than 12 industry panels and 10 filmmaker Q&As, the festival brings film to life through a dozen special film events that run across the Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast Film Festival is a celebration of film and film-making from one of Australia’s top filmmaking locations – the Gold Coast.
Be captivated by internationally acclaimed dramas, comedies and genre films, locally made indie gems,
engaging documentaries, family features, anime and the scariest horror films.
Learn from Australia’s leading producers, writers and directors in intimate seminars and workshops.
Tomorrow signals the start of SIPFest, otherwise known as the Shorts in Paradise Festival, an annual showcase of the best short films from across Australia.
The mini-festival within a festival transforms Surfers Paradise Beach into a vibrant and unique cinema, delivering an outdoor film experience like no other in Australia.
The crowd will be captivated by 10-minute cinematic masterpieces by emerging filmmakers from around the country.
Thrillers, dramas, comedy, documentary and more will be judged by a panel of industry experts and awarded $8000 in prizes. The audience can also cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award.
