DIVE IN AND RAVE ABOUT FAMILY FUN
Colourful outfits, light sticks, noisy whistles and way too much energy … is it a kids’ party or a rave? Actually, it’s both.
Well, it is this weekend anyway. The Big Fish Little Fish family rave is making a splash at Broadbeach’s Platinum Nightclub this afternoon.
Billed as the 2-4 hour party people – the group of independent, grassroots music and events crew consisting of seasoned ravers and parents – are famous for putting on family raves with all the freedom and excitement of a mini-festival across the UK.
Fresh off their launch in Brisbane, organisers are now thrilled to bring this all-ages concept to Gold Coast families.
Helping parents be responsibly irresponsible since 2013, this is family
fun for the post-rave generation of mums and dads.
Legendary UK trance act Binary Finary will be taking the stage – they’re famous for their classic belter
1998 – which became the first electronic dance trance track to enter the UK Top 30. It climbed to No.1 and a decade and a half later it’s still one of the top trance tracks.
They will be supported by Sydney rave legend Nik Fish, who will be playing an old skool rave set.
Adults and kids alike are encouraged to dive into the theme – ‘Under The Sea’.
Dressing up in your best underwater-themed outfit is optional but highly encouraged.
Please note: adult-only groups will not be permitted and groups without enough adult supervision will not be permitted (maximum three children per family or one adult per two children in party groups).
