THE South Coast Sharks will be hoping it is a case of third time lucky when the Queensland Super League begins at the State Hockey Centre in Brisbane today.

The Sharks’ women, who will be led by Hockeyroo Rosie Malone, have finished runner up at the past two tournament­s, which bring together six regional teams for a threeday round robin competitio­n.

The South Coast teams unite Gold Coast and Tweed talent, with the Sharks’ men’s team featuring a host of Labrador Brisbane Hockey League stars including Blake WotherFres­h

spoon and Brent Livermore.

They will play Central and Brisbane today, Wide Bay and Northern Storm tomorrow, and South West on Monday.

Gold Coaster Brooke Anderson and the Aussie Country women’s team also completed an undefeated tour of Asia.
