SUMMARY

A small, long-range ESE groundswel­l continues to range either side of 2ft+ along exposed breaks over the weekend, with long waits for sets in the upper range. An early S change this morning leads in strong SSE winds during the day. SSW to SSE winds moderate as a new SE windswell bumps up into Sunday and Monday, potentiall­y trending ESE and rebuilding mid-next week.

TODAY

Long range ESE groundswel­l continues. Slow sets ranging from 1 to 3ft exposed breaks, inconsiste­nt in the upper range. Grading to 1 to 2ft inside the points and bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early S change just after dawn 20 to 25 knots, tending SSE during the day.

TOMORROW

Fading, long range ESE swell mixing with rising SE windswell. Around 2 - 3ft exposed beaches, grading smaller along the points and inside the bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early inshore SSW tending SSE to SE 15 to 25 knots.

MONDAY

Fading ESE swell superseded by short range ESE windswell. Up to 2 to 3ft+ exposed breaks. Wrapping at lower levels inside the points and bays. WIND: Early light SSW to SW inshore, tending SE during the morning and ESE 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon.

TUESDAY

Easing E swell. Sets ranging from 2 to 3ft exposed breaks, grading smaller inside the points and bays. Mixing with small S groundswel­l at 1 to 3ft northern NSW south facing beaches. WIND: Possibly lighter SW to SSW early, tending SE to ESE 10 to 15 knots during the day, possibly stronger into the afternoon.

WEDNESDAY

Low confidence surrounds potential for rising E windswell; speculativ­ely building into 2 to 3ft+ along exposed breaks. Mixing with small S groundswel­l at 1 to 3ft across northern NSW south facing breaks. WIND: Early light land-breezes tending E to SE 5 to 15 knots.
