SUMMARY

Several days of flat conditions prevail from today to Monday ahead of a new round of S swell picking up on Tuesday and Wednesday; favouring northern NSW coasts in the 2 to 5ft range. A continued run of SSE to SE swell follows into Thursday and Friday before fading next weekend.

TODAY

Background ESE swell around 0.5 to 1ft exposed breaks, grading to tiny/ near flat elsewhere. WIND: WSW to WNW 5 to 15 knots, freshening later.

TOMORROW

Background ESE swell lingers around 0.5 to 1ft exposed beaches, otherwise virtually flat. WIND: WNW 10 to 15 knots, tending W and freshening later.

MONDAY

Virtually flat. Slight S windswell bumps up to 1 to 2ft northern NSW southern exposures during the afternoon. Flat across southern QLD coasts. WIND: WSW 10 to 20 knots.

New S swell builds in. Sets to 3 to 4ft+ northern NSW southern exposures, grading to 2 to 3ft+ open beaches. Grading to a slow 1 to 2ft max exposed southern QLD coasts, and virtually flat elsewhere. WIND: Early WSW tending SSW 15 to 25 knots during the afternoon.

WEDNESDAY

Stronger mid-period S swell builds in. Sets to 3 to 5ft northern NSW southern exposures, grading to 2 to 4ft open beaches. Ranging from 1 to 3ft exposed southern QLD coasts and virtually flat inside the points and bays. WIND: Early WSW to SW 10 to 20 knots, tending SSW during the day.
