Palatial $3.2m mansion fit for kings

-

IMAGINE living like royalty in a private palace without having to leave the Coast.

It’s a dream that will cost at least $3.25 million to make a reality.

This palatial Sanctuary Cove mansion with all the bells and whistles expected of a prestige property has hit the market.

Owners Lance and Wendy Cotterill bought the 1524sq m property on Observation Cres almost four years ago after falling in love with its grand design and elegant style.

“Everything about it ticked all the boxes,” Mr Cotterill said. “And we love the lifestyle there, it’s like another world at Sanctuary Cove.”

But an almost $1 million renovation has transformed it into the palatial three-storey home with four bedrooms and six bathrooms that stands today.

“It’s like a palace,” Mr Cotterill said. “It took three years to do it up.”

A circular driveway surrounded by manicured hedges, chandelier in the foyer and Italian porcelain tiles make it feel like a home fit for royalty.

“The lounge is my favourite, it’s like a ballroom,” Mr Cotterill said.

It has 10-foot ceilings, a brick fireplace with marble stone mantle, a built-in wetbar and surround sound.

It also has a spa, pool house with sauna and vegetable garden.

The Cotterills were reluctant to sell it but said family reasons were forcing them to move.

Mr Cotterill is an agent with North Estate Agents — Tweed Heads and is marketing the property with Nadine Denny.
