ALL HOUNDS ON DECK FOR BIG CONCERT
Have you looked at your dog and thought they needed a bit of culture?
Have you seen your dog looking a little stressed lately, as though the thing they need most is a morning of fun and excitement?
Have you ever just outright wondered whether your dog is a classical music fan?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, then Home of the Arts has exactly the thing for you.
HOTA, along with Pomegranate Arts and Canal Street Communications, is putting on its Concert for Dogs tomorrow morning, for all those four-legged music connoisseurs.
The show was first performed in front of the Sydney Opera House in
2010, and has since grown to be shown for audiences in Times Square in New York and across the UK.
It’s the brain child of artist Laurie Anderson, composed specifically to entertain dogs with its different melodies and riffs.
HOTA’s sure their human counterparts will have a great time too, don’t worry.
The show kicks off at 9am, followed by a screening of Anderson’s film Heart of a Dog at 9.30am, meaning there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
It’s an internationally acclaimed film inspired by her own terrier, exploring themes of love and life between us and man’s best friend.
All types of dogs are welcome, as long as they’re on a leash and play well with others, so bring them down to HOTA for a good time.
It might just be the only show where barking is not only allowed, but encouraged.
