KIDS MADE OF WRITE STUFF FOR FESTIVAL

-

There’s never a bad time to enjoy a good book, but maybe this weekend there’s a bad place – that being, of course, anywhere that isn’t the Byron Writers Festival.

Now in its 22nd year the festival has once again set up shop in Byron Bay, this time around bringing together 140 different writers and thinkers to share their work with the public.

There are some big names on the line up in 2018, including the author of the book that spawned now hit-series Big Little Lies, Liane Moriarty, and Asylum Seeker Resource Centre founder Kon Karapanagiotidis.

As always there’s something for everyone no matter what you fancy, whether it be fiction or non-fiction, crime or romance, adventure or politics.

And in a special event just for the kids, they’re holding their “Kids Big Day Out” tomorrow at 8.30am, joined by members of the Spaghetti Circus and dozens of children’s writers and performers.

See one of the marquees transformed into an arena of storytelling for children’s authors and illustrators to share their creative processes and the inspiration behind their work. Book signings and a chance to meet the author will follow after each session.

And the festival of course has all titles on offer whether you just want something fresh to read or another to add to your collection.

It’s a day to enjoy all the best talent the writing world has to offer and all while taking in the gorgeous Byron Bay weather. Get your tickets fast, because it promises to be one not to miss. WHERE: Today and tomorrow, Elements of Byron, end of Bayshore Drive, Byron Bay
