GOLD COAST QUADDIE

- WITH TOM HACKETT LADBROKES

RACE 6

– BM65 (1400m)

She’s A Youeffoh returned to the races with a strong performance at Doomben and all three of her previous race wins have come at the Gold Coast. Cosmos Seven was outclassed at Doomben last start, but her form before that had been good. Play Thing has raced well without winning this preparation. Flying Machine is a better mare than her last start effort suggests.

RACE 8

– CLASS 1 (1200m)

Didn’t Mention It is a better horse than her recent form suggests and she hasn’t had much luck this in any of her past three race starts. Mymming ran well at the Sunshine Coast first-up and the step-up to 1200m suits. Royal Equiano has been a consistent performer this campaign and should get a nice run in transit.

Mishani Silva will get a long way back but she is a mare that does have a nice turn-of-foot.

RACE 7

– BM65 (1400m)

This is an open race. Arterial’s two starts this campaign have been good and his only previous win came first-up.

Sequalo Spirit enjoys running second as much as Tom Melbourne and has been runner-up five times in his past eight starts. Catch Me Later will make his Queensland racing debut after starting his career in Victoria. The Monk produced close to a career best effort at Doomben last start.

RACE 9

– CLASS 1 (1200m)

Doom doesn’t win out of turn but he is very well-placed in what is far from the strongest race. The step-up to 1200m should suit. All Too Sweet wasn’t beaten far last start at the Gold Coast and would go close in this race on his best form. Zoff ‘n’ Off is a better horse than his last start effort suggests. Snooper had absolutely no luck first-up.

SELECTIONS

3 Doom

6 All Too Sweet 10 Zoff ‘n’ Off 14 Snooper
