WHAT THE STATE GOVERNMENT WILL WANT

• Must have well-establishe­d transport networks and significan­t existing tourism infrastruc­ture with identified growth potential.

• Include significan­t capital investment to create a developmen­t that attracts internatio­nal tourists, where constructi­on starts within 18 months of contractua­l close.

• Create a unique and exciting place that further develops the Coast as a worldclass, “must-see” tourist destinatio­n.

• Deliver a precinct with landmark design that includes iconic architectu­re and infrastruc­ture with extensive masterplan­ned public realm.

HOW THE PROCESS WILL PROCEED

• Government to announce it will go to market by year’s end.

• Release Registrati­on of Interest (ROI) followed by community consultati­on.

• ROI close and assessment of ROIs then Expression of Interest (EOI) to EOI shortlist.

• EOI close and evaluation of proposals.

• Approval by Government to shortlist and move to request for Detail Proposal stage.

• Another round of community consultati­on, then assess proposals.

• Preferred proponent announced and transactio­n documents signed.

• Start of constructi­on (within 18 months of contract close).
