BROOKE Evers is proof married life doesn’t have to be boring … but living in Los Angeles, making music and partying together certainly helps keep things fresh.
The 33-year-old DJ, singer and model is nearing her first wedding anniversary with fellow musician Matt Stafford, but said they will be holding off on starting a family until next year.
Gold Coast-raised but LA-based now, Evers rose to fame in 2008 as a cover model and DJ.
A decade later she’s just released her latest single ahead of an Australian tour, titled Turn Around.
“The song is all about playing hard to get,” she told ATG. “Trying to get the attention from someone you’re interested in at a club or just walking by.
“Turn Around was a record that came together so fast.
“There was a crazy, good vibe in the studio and we wrote the song in a few hours.”
The latest single also comes as a package deal with a fun film clip starring herself, singers Rachel West and Glen Faria, Timmy Trumpet on, well, trumpet and models Jessica Cribbon and Lauren Drain Kagan. “The film clip was hard work,” Evers said. “I was dancing in heels for hours plus I got to work with some incredible dancers, so I had to show them I still had the moves.
“The end scene was a little surprise that everyone was in on including Matt (Stafford) … I was thrown in the pool, fully clothed!”
Turn Around is available as of yesterday on all the major online music stores and streaming services.
