GOLD COAST QUADDIE

- WITH TOM HACKETT LADBROKES

RACE 5

– MAIDEN (1400m)

Holbrook was beaten as a short-priced favourite last start but the run wasn’t as bad as it looks on paper. I am happy to give him another chance. Jet

Train has generally raced in tougher company than this and she maps to get a dream run. No Hat No Play had no luck in running last start at Ipswich. Etikaal did plenty wrong last start at the Gold Coast but he does have some talent.

SELECTIONS:

10 Holbrook 13 Jet Train

6 No Hat No Play 3 Etikaal

RACE 7

– CLASS 2 (1200m)

Sky Lake has been transferred to the care of Chris Munce after starting her career with Mick Price in Melbourne. If she brings her Melbourne form to the Gold Coast, she will prove very tough to beat. My Delilah won well at Ipswich last start and maps to get a lovely run.

Blonde By Choice doesn’t win out of turn but she has form around some quality gallopers.

Hot Choice is another mare that maps to get a gun run.

SELECTIONS:

1 Sky Lake

4 My Delilah 5 Blonde By Choice 6 Hot Choice

RACE 6

– CLASS 5 (1300m)

Felino Bel finished second behind The Mechanic at Doomben last start and this is a genuine drop in class.

Scrabble failed the line nicely at the Sunshine Coast and has the benefit of Luke Tarrant in the saddle. Snapper is a better horse than his recent form suggests. Legal

Counsel doesn’t win out of turn, but he is rarely far away at this level.

SELECTIONS:

5 Felino Bel 3 Scrabble 9 Snapper 10 Legal Counsel

RACE 8

– CLASS 2 (1200m)

Hank Scorpio has recorded two wins from his four race starts and his trial at the Gold Coast ahead of his return to the races was excellent.

Navy has talent but he is unproven at this trip. Too

Easy Bro wasn’t beaten far at the Gold Coast last start.

Social Conquest has been consistent without winning this campaign. SELECTIONS: 4 Hank Scorpio 7 Navy

8 Too Easy Bro 11 Social Conquest
