PARTY WITH UNDEAD AT FEST-EVIL

-

PREPARE to be scared in Surfers Paradise this weekend as the sun goes down and the living dead creep into the streets.

“Fest-Evil” is the first ever Halloween spook-tacular bringing magicians, make-up artists, flash mobs and more to Surfers Paradise.

It’s the perfect place for all members of the family to eat, drink and also get spooky.

For the little ones, there are kidfriendly shows in Cavill Mall that will teach them how to do the best “zombie shuffle”, before checking out the Ooky Spooky Magic Show or enjoying the Halloween party at One Cavill Beach Bar.

It all culminates in the Zombie Walk on Sunday, where dozens will

don their best undead costume and parade through the streets for a chance at $4300 in prize money.

CEO of Surfers Paradise Alliance Mike Winlaw said he was excited to see how people reacted to the event, in particular the Zombie Walk.

“People love dressing up and engaging with it so we’ve turned the Halloween Zombie Walk into one big weekend of ‘Fest-Evil’,” he said, adding Halloween was taking off nationwide.

“We’ve set ourselves up as the premier Halloween event for people who want a safe place to come along and enjoy it with others who have a similar leaning to that sort of fun.

“I’m just excited we’ll see an opportunity for people to come into that safe environment and participate with the kids.”

This year’s march will raise funds for the Brain Foundation, an organisation dedicated to funding research across Australia for neurological disorders, brain disease and brain injuries.
