STAGE RIGHT TO THE US FOR MUMS?
The writers and stars behind hit series Stage Mums are toasting their small screen success
WHAT started as a script written out of boredom is now a TV show that has been picked up by the Channel 10 Network and is expected to hit the screens in America and UK this year. Stage Mums is a mini-web series that was created by two mothers,
and co-star and her

It is filmed only on the Coast. Stage Mums tells the story of two Gold Coast stage mothers, Shaz and Trace, as they try to take their teenage daughters to the top of the performance scene. Since the first episode was uploaded on YouTube in 2014, the show has featured some big names such as Hollywood gossip columnist
and Gold Coast
Perez Hilton

Over the past couple of months, Waters-Massey has been pushing to grow the audience and has just signed a deal with a media agency called Escapade Media.
“We now have the rights to sell world wide ... so we could make it on American or English TV services,” Water-Massey says. “They are going to try to sell season one, and hopefully that will lead to us filming season two.” Although it is still early days, WaterMassey has already started writing the second season.
“I’m writing 20-minute-long episodes,” she said adding some were on different themes. “We would love to have some more big names. Perez Hilton told us to come over and film an episode with him. I told him that’d be ‘totes cool’.”
