After reading about the Council Budget, we don’t have a Council for Benowa or Benowa Waters as we pay rates and get very little back. Some of our roads are shocking, always being patched up only to finish up as pot holes when it rains. KB Benowa

23,000 items of rubbish along Tallebudgera creek is no surprise. The whole of the Gold Coast is awash with litter. When is this Council going to get serious on the worsening litter issue?

The CST in Brisbane is 88km away and 1.5hrs in a bus. That’s 3hrs/day minimum on the M1. So the Gold Coast doesn’t have one! We are losing billions of tourism dollars. And what reefs will be destroyed? If ships can get inside the reef at Port Douglas without any damage, why cant it be done here? JJB.
