MAXWELL KICKS OFF NEW SHOW

Trad vows no profit from sale of Gabba property

CHLOE Maxwell, model and wife of dual international footy legend Mat Rogers, is hosting a new breakfast radio show, with her famous husband joining her on air “from time to time”.

The high-profile mum of four will be hosting Good Taste Brekky with Chloe Maxwell on Juice1073, a community radio station. The new show kicks off on August 1 and will be aired on weekdays between 6am and 9am.

Rogers said he was very proud of his wife, who was an “exceptional” radio talent.

“I’m really excited for Chloe and this show and I look forward to joining her on air for a chat from time to time,” he said.

Chloe is no newcomer to the media and brings experience in commercial radio and TV, locally and nationally, to the new gig, which she promised would be “refreshing and inspiring’’.

She said she had decided to join Juice1073 not to just make some noise but to make a difference.

“I love media and entertainment but a while back, I reached a point where I realised I didn’t want it to be about me anymore,” she said.

“I want to support and celebrate others. This new show will be dedicated to those who make a difference in our city.”

Chloe said she was unfazed about very early starts.

“I’m used to early mornings because I train often with my husband early,” she said. “I’ll be getting up at about 4.30am.” JACKIE Trad has promised not to profit from the forced sale of the controversial property she purchased along the route of the $5.4 billion Cross River Rail.

The Queensland Treasurer yesterday conceded she needed to sell the $695,500 Woolloogabba home for the same price she purchased it after receiving advice from the Integrity Commissioner.

Ms Trad refused to release the advice, saying she had asked for further clarification, however, her decision to sell up came a day after she dismissed suggestions she had a conflict of interest.

“Today I received advice from the Integrity Commissioner, and will continue to do so,” she said. “In order to remove any doubt, I will sell the property at the same price it was purchased for.

“Until that time, it will continue to house victims of the Vulture Street fire.”

Her decision sparked Opposition calls for Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk to sack Ms Trad from Cabinet.

“This shows her judgment is deeply flawed,” Opposition deputy leader Tim Mander said.

“She does not understand the meaning of integrity.”
