RUGBY league star Scott Prince has offloaded his luxury Carrara house in a $1.7 million deal.

The four-bedroom waterfront house at 6 Garden Grove sold earlier this week.

The former Gold Coast Titans captain and wife Kristy first tackled the property market in May via an auction campaign and later put a $1.775 million price tag on the listing.

Scott Euler of @realty, who marketed the house with Nicola Buchanan, said a local downsizer secured the keys.

“It was a local buyer living in the area, again on waterfront, who was looking for a downsizer and this property presented perfectly for them,” Mr Euler said.

“They loved the finishes, the open-plan design and again the large block overlooking the magnificent waterfront.

“(The Princes are) thrilled they found the buyer that had the same emotion as them both, but are sad at the same time to be leaving the family home.”

The pair sold to purchase two new properties, one in Brisbane and another on the Gold Coast, which they are now on the hunt for.

“Plans going forward are they are searching for their next purchase now on the Gold Coast and a property in Brisbane for Scott to split his time between Brisbane and the Coast,” Mr Euler said.

Prince works with the Brisbane Broncos and their indigenous program, while his wife works on the Coast and their two daughters attend a local school.

They purchased the property in 2008 for $1.3 million before knocking it down and building their dream home.
