A Big Thanks to Nig (GCB, 9/8) for pointing out that the current bus service through Palm Beach is regular, modern and efficient. We don’t want or need light rail destroying our coastal community. Mayor Tate and his Planning Committee have already destroyed Palmy with all the high density high rises that have been approved even though most are drastically outside City Plan guidelines. Is anyone else worried about this upcoming Sandtunes concert at Coolangatta Beach. 70,000 kids flooding the area over 2 days and the disruption to the public beach and Oceanway path for weeks while they set up and leave the area. I don’t know anyone who lives here who wants it. It’s a big fat NO from me to Tom Tate for the next election.
