CAN the GC Council or Police help stop the people who park illegally near the school crossing at Keebra Park High, Anne St Southport. The people park so close to the crossing morning and afternoon that they block the vision of children using the crossing from motoIt’s an accident waiting to happen.

Regarding the homeless people on the Gold Coast, maybe using the old hospital in Southport would have helped solve it but our government and council seemed to be more interested in development than addressing this issue. Terry

Why wouldn’t a homeless man have a dog? The dog will always be his best friend and never have a go at him for his situation. There needs to be more kindness in this world

I was trying to explain the sea level rising to my 7-year-old son, how the level can vary at certain times and certain places. He looked at me and said “It’s called high or low tide, dad.” These young ones think they know everything these days.

How come homeless people can afford alcohol, cigarettes, drugs and in some cases mobile phones? Am I missing something? I would find it hard to do that. Confused

All this talk about the socalled climate change ... forget about it, over-population will kill us long before that will. But let’s not talk about that, someone might get offended if they are told to adopt instead of having their own.

Residents in drought-stricken Stanthorpe and other areas are in dire need of assistance, yet millions are being put forward for an Olympics bid and a white elephant tram.
