Residual south swell continues to fade. Far northern NSW: Around 1 to 2ft+ at the south-swell magnets, otherwise 1ft+ to near flat elsewhere. Southern Qld: Virtually flat. WIND: Early light Westerly, WNW 5 to 10 knots, tending SSE to SE sea-breezes in the afternoon.

TOMORROW:

New short period southerly swell, potentiall­y trending SSE in the afternoon. Far northern NSW: Up to 2 to 3ft across southfacin­g breaks, more like 1 to 2ft+ elsewhere. Southern Qld: Scope for 1 to 2ft sets exposed beaches, otherwise tiny to nearflat elsewhere. WIND: Early light WSW to SW 5 to 10 knots inshore, tending light and variable, then ENE to NE 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon.

MONDAY:

Potential for new SSE swell. Far northern NSW: Sets ranging 2 to 3ft+ across south-facing breaks, easing in the afternoon. Southern Qld: Around 2ft+ along exposed breaks, grading smaller along open beaches and tiny inside the points and inside bays. WIND: NW to NNW 10 to 20

knots, tending northerly and freshening ahead of a westerly shift later in the afternoon/ evening.

Potential for SE swell combining with renewed southerly swell. Far northern NSW: 3 to 4ft sets across southfacin­g breaks, easing in the afternoon. Grading to 2 to 3ft+ along open beaches with size depending on exposure. Southern Qld: Wrapping at 2 to 3ft along exposed open breaks, smaller along the points and inside bays. WIND: SW to SSW 5 to 15 knots, tending SSE to SE in the afternoon.

WEDNESDAY:

Fading SE swell mixing with directiona­l southerly swell. Far northern NSW: Sets up to 2 to 4ft across south-facing breaks, grading to 2 to 3ft along open beaches. Southern Qld: SE swell speculativ­ely 2 to 3ft along exposed beaches, more like 1 to 2ft elsewhere with size depending on exposure. Revisions likely. WIND: Early light Westerly, WSW 5 to 15 knots.
