A year before we sold up in Vic we had a huge storm and every solar panel was wrecked by hail and a lightening strike as well as hundreds of other homes. A simple solution to boat and caravan parking in the streets like Oatlands Esp at Runaway Bay is to put a 2 hr parking restriction on just one day of the week like a Wednesday. This allows short stays but forces owners to move their van/boat once a week. An inconvenience if you plan on leaving it on the road for long periods of time and maybe enough for the owner to find suitable storage. David R
