WIN SHARE IN WALLER STABLE RACEHORSE

- TOM BOSWELL

PREMIER trainer Chris Waller says there is no greater feeling than being on course to watch your horse win and that’s exactly what he will aim to deliver to a host of new owners who will win a share in one of his runners.

Waller will take on the horse set to be bought by Aquis Farm at the upcoming Magic Millions Yearling Sale. Six lucky punters will win a share in the horse thanks to an initiative by the Gold Coast Turf Club.

Waller is one of the highest profile trainers in Australia and the man who mentored the great Winx.

His headquarters are situated at Rosehill while he also has a satellite stable on the Gold Coast.

The New Zealander has won more than 100 Group 1 races, nearly 3000 in total, and nine NSW metropolitan premierships.

Waller said he was excited by the prospect of providing ownership opportunities to a horse who will be eligible for next year’s $500,000 2YO Jewel on the Gold Coast.

“I am proud to be involved in this competition which is a great initiative by Aquis Farm and the Gold Coast Turf Club,” Waller said.

“There is no greater feeling than being on course to watch your horse win and this competition is a fantastic way to help expose the excitement of horse ownership to the broader public.

“Aquis Farm have been very good supporters of my stable and I look forward to working closely with them again.

“The horse will initially be based at my Gold Coast stables and aimed for the QTIS 2YO Jewel next year.”

The yearling sale will be held just days after the $1.6 million Jewel Race Day at the Gold Coast next Saturday.
