Epstein’s ‘madam’ sues estate

-

THE mystery of the whereabouts of billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s old “madam” Ghislaine Maxwell has been solved in the most bizarre way – she is suing his estate.

Maxwell disappeared after her former lover took his own life in a jail cell in Manhattan in August.

Theories abounded about what had become of her, from being kept in hiding by the FBI to having been murdered by people who didn’t want her to talk about “what she knew”.

It’s even been reported that she and Prince Andrew – who has strenuously denied that he had sex with one of Epstein’s underage “sex slaves” Virginia Roberts Giuffre – have entered a pact not to tell the FBI anything they know about the other’s relationship with Epstein.

But now, Maxwell has reportedly sued Epstein’s estate to cover her legal fees against an accuser who said she “recruited” her to have sex with Epstein.

She says in legal papers filed with the Superior Court in the US Virgin Islands, where Epstein’s estate is being probated, that she “had no involvement in or knowledge of Epstein’s alleged misconduct”.

Yet she says Epstein had repeatedly promised to support her financially.

And because she “receives regular threats to her life and safety”, she also wants to be compensated for her seucirty costs.

“Epstein made a clear and unambiguous promise to Maxwell (pictured) that he would indemnify Maxwell and advance any expense incurred by reason of her prior employment relationship with him and his affiliated businesses,” says Maxwell’s lawsuit.

Maxwell is believed to be one of the key targets of ongoing federal investigations.
