Hospital takes smart approach

-

A US hospital dealing with the outbreak of COVID-19 is using software developed on the Gold Coast.

MedStar, one of the highest-rated hospitals in Washington DC, is using Virtual Manager’s SmartCleanerQR product as part of its health and safety protocol. Virtual Manager’s SmartCleanerQR system tracks and records cleaning practices, giving businesses measurable data on their systems and processes and helping them to meet work safety requirements.

MedStar vice president of environmental services Sean E. Shapert said real-time data was crucial, especially now.

“The current outbreak of COVID-19 is a concern to us all and our cleaning procedures and methods will be heavily relied upon to support MedStar and the communities we serve,” he said.

“The way we conduct business now and in the future is changing, but using data to combat the spread of emergency situations, like COVID-19, is the model for everyone. MedStar is a leader in innovation and technology … SmartCleanerQR

is helping us obtain the data needed to operate the most efficient way possible.”

Virtual Manager’s Anil Patel said the company was offering business owners 90 days free on a 12-month subscription to SmartCleanerQR to help them achieve their healthy and safety goals.

“Health and safety practices have always been our number one priority, and in the current environment we believe it is even more important that these practices are implemented by as many businesses as possible,” he said.
