Party Marty scored a stunning all-the- way win over this course and distance last start but is up sharply in the weights. Let’s Party Marty is also an acceptor at Eagle Farm today. Sidetrip chased home Let’s Party Marty last start and can figure in the mix again.

Royal Warfare is a last-start 1400m Sunshine Coast winner and is also a winner over this course and distance.

RACE 6

— BM78 HCP (900m)

Tapa scored a narrow first-up win in the 800m Dalby Lightning a fortnight ago and heads back to the Gold Coast where she has a 900m win on her record. Gary Geran rides again and the mare will get a nice run from an inside gate. Godfather’s Girl was third to Tapa at Dalby and also heads back to the Gold Coast where she is a winner over this course and distance.

Powerful Saga is resuming and has a good first-up record and has also shown her liking for the 900m Gold Coast sprint with three wins over it.

Connoisseu­r is fitter for a first-up second at the Sunshine Coast.

RACE 7

— CLASS 3 HCP (1200m)

Hekansplit was back in the winner’s stall last start in a 1200m BenchMark 65 Handicap at a Doomben midweek meeting and apprentice Sheriden Tomlinson’s 3kg claim comes in handy after being allocated 58.5kg today.

Jeweliana was an Eagle Farm Class 3 winner over 1400m in December and was then tested at Group 3 level when ninth in the 1400m Vo Rogue Plate at Eagle Farm. Jeweliana is back in a more suitable class and has won first-up in the past. Commission­er

and Penasquito finished first and second in a 1200m Gold Coast Class 2 last start and are likely to be in the mix.

RACE 8

— CLASS 1 HCP (1400m)

Mount Panorama is fitter for two runs back from a spell and showed improvemen­t last start with a second over 1400m in a Sunshine Coast Class 1 and is facing similar opposition here.

Sugar Zone just finished out of a place when fourth at the Sunshine Coast and will get a nice run from a good barrier and will be better suited back on top of the ground. The Chris Wallertrai­ned Parlande can improve on his latest fifth in a Gold Coast Class 1 over 1300m. Candy Floss was second at the Gold Coast before a last-start sixth in a 1200m Doomben midweek Class 1 Handicap.
