Gang perjury charge

Bikie’s partner allegedly lied during murder investigation

- CHRIS MCMAHON chris.mcmahon@news.com.au

THE partner of the self-proclaimed national president of the Lone Wolf bikie gang has been charged with perjury as investigations into a double murder continue.

Gabrielle Garner, 27, was yesterday arrested and charged with two counts of perjury in relation to the investigation into the killings of former Comanchero bikie Shane Ross and his business partner Cameron Martin on October 18, 2019.

Garner is the partner of the alleged Lone Wolf national president Brodie Singh, who was charged with two counts of murder in March.

She was charged yesterday after arriving for questioning at Southport police station.

The Coolangatta-based mother tried to hide her face as she walked from the watchhouse yesterday afternoon.

Singh and alleged Lone Wolf member Nathan John Miller, 34, have both been charged with two counts of murder with a “serious organised crime’’ circumstance of aggravation and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A warrant has also been issued for Gary Brush for two counts of murder with a “serious organised crime’’ circumstance of aggravation and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

It will be alleged the three men were involved in the “premeditated” murders of Ross and Martin in a Tallebudgera park.

Mr Ross was shot with two different guns in Martin Sheils park, while Mr Martin was found dead a kilometre away after the car in which he was trying to flee crashed into a tree.

An autopsy found he had been shot in the chest, with police saying in court last week Mr Martin was likely killed to silence a witness to the planned execution of Mr Ross.

Police will allege the trio did a dry run before the murders of the pair in the southern Gold Coast park.

“We can show evidence that they did a dry run, for the better terminology, around what they were going to do,” Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith said.

“These people were socalled friends of the victims and to do this just shows, clearly indicates, the viciousness of these gangs.

“It doesn’t matter who you are, if it suits their purposes for greed, or whatever the motive is, they will do anything to anyone.”

Mr Ross’ father Les told the Bulletin earlier this year Brush had been at his wife’s funeral, and five weeks later was allegedly involved in the brutal murder of his son.

“(Brush) was actually at my wife’s funeral and Shane’s funeral. He was supposed to be a friend of my son,” Mr Ross said in March.

“He was shaking hands with everyone at my son’s funeral.

“I was even shocked. “He was at my wife’s funeral and knew how shattered my son was.

“Shane was still grieving for his mum.”

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the deaths to come forward, and are still searching for a white BMW X5 that is believed to have been used in the murders.
