Sent out as the $1.65 favourite and even though he was wide in the middle stages and on the home, the big gelding proved too strong in the run to the line.
Usmanov (Race 7)
The $1.90 favourite handled the heavy track to perfection. Went to the line under no pressure to record a 1¾-lengths win.
Wapiti (Race 9)
Wapiti ($4.40 favourite) gave the punters a happy end to the day but they had to wait until the last 20m before the result was decided.
LOSERS
Fomo (Race 5)
Fomo jumped straight to the front but was given no peace with Aqua Vite going stride for stride with the $2.50 favourite in the middle stages. Fomo was the first to feel the pinch and faded in the straight to finish last of the five runners.

Ramtastic (Race 6) Ramtastic was the wellsupported $3.40 favourite but looked in trouble from the start when he settled in the second of the field. Things got worse when Ramtastic drifted back to last on the home turn before weaving into between runners to make his challenge but failed by a nose to pick up the leader I’ve Gotta Nel ($19).

Isabella’s Spring (Race 1) Isabella’s Spring ($3.30) did a great job to finish second after having a wide run after jumping from the outside gate in the 14horse field and it won’t be long before she breaks through for her Maiden win.
