Good news day for Milic
THE dream beachfront mansion of Nine Gold Coast news co-presenter Eva Milic is taking an impressive shape on Millionaire’s Row at Mermaid Beach where a string of new projects is under way.
The scaffolding came down on Monday to reveal the first glimpse of the spectacular two-storey family home Ms Milic is building with husband Marcus Dore in Hedges Ave.
Designed by Mermaid Beach-based BDA Architecture
and built by Mactech Constructions, the home is already a showstopper along the exclusive beachfront strip.
Public records show 133 Hedges Ave was bought under the Eva Dore name for $4.4 million in February 2018. An old beach shack was demolished to make way for the luxury five-bedroom home now taking shape on the slim 405sq m block.
The 12-month build, due to be finished next month, has been a talking point among curious locals amid a hive of construction along the street.
Construction is well under way on a two-level, four-bedroom family mansion being built by developer John Potter at 123 Hedges Ave, due for completion around August.
Records show Mr Potter acquired the 607sq m site for $6.95 million in January 2019, six months after off-loading his Hamptons-style mansion at 9 Hedges Ave to Clive Palmer for $12 million.
Those sales were handled by Tony Velissariou, of Burleigh’s Tony V Real Estate, who said the hive of Hedges Ave construction was being driven by an appetite for new, high-spec homes.
On the southern end, Highgrove Bathrooms boss Lindsay Sinclair plans to build a Hamptons-style home at 47 Hedges Ave, while Lisa and Andrew Quinn have put forward plans for an ultramodern five-bedroom home on a 405sq m site at 49 Hedges Ave.
