Casual workers at GCCC could not get JobKeeper even after working there for many years. Now we have just received a letter from GCCC stating if we haven’t had a shift for 3 months we would be terminated. Hard to get a shift since Council-run stadiums, catering etc have been closed for last 3 months. With all the job uncertainty and worry for our future receiving this letter was a shock and loyal staff just dumped on the scrap heap. No, actually the word was terminated. Shame on you Gold Coast City Council! Tek.

The difference between young & old these days? If visitors mistakenly park in a crippled old person’s regular car spot, right outside their home, good neighbours would explain situation and politely ask visitors to move their cars. Liberal MP Jason Falinsky stated that the ATO will make the decision on who will and won’t receive JobKeeper, also when the JobKeeper payment stops for different industries. So anything Morrison says on the matter is irrelevant, until
the ATO tells him what to do. I don’t remember anyone voting for the ATO to govern the country.

Qld is almost COVID free, NSW has a long way to go at high risk. As for Kiwis go home, I brought my family and wealth here 13 years ago. We have put more into Aussie than we will ever take out. With 10,000 spectators being allowed back at stadiums next month, all fans can attend NRL games and have spare seats. But AFL will have wait until at least 50,000 fans can attend there stadiums. Not fair I say.
