A FORMER concreter used his ex-flatmate’s phone number when he posted a prostitution advertisement on a classifieds website during a sixweek campaign of terror.

Clint Adam Noon also sent love notes to her work, followed her, sent threatening letters to her daughter and boss and called her more than 190 times in six weeks.

The pair had lived together and had a brief intimate relationship before the man spent six weeks terrorising her.

Noon, 41, pleaded guilty in the Southport District Court yesterday to stalking, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils related to drugs.

Crown prosecutor Gary Churchill told the court Noon and the woman, 50, had lived together between November 2018 and January last year. He said between April 9 and May 20 Noon began trying to contact the woman, including calling her almost 200 times.

“He posted an advertisement on (classifieds website) Locanto offering her prostitution services,” Mr Churchill said. “She only became aware of it after receiving contact from prospective clients.”

The court was told over the next few weeks Noon would wait outside the woman’s work, leave notes on “love heart” paper that professed his love and abused her, and repeatedly called her and followed her when she left work.

Noon also sent her a wooden plaque engraved with his feelings about her.

Mr Churchill said Noon had also sent an abusive note to the woman’s daughter and her employees.

“This conduct would have undoubtedly caused her much concern and distress,” Mr Churchill said.

Police found cannabis at Noon’s home when they searched it in relation to his stalking of the woman.

Judge Katherine McGinness sentenced Noon to 15 months jail with immediate release on parole.
