Richard Holliday, at least Broncos do have history, Titans have created a wonderful holiday home for footballers in their twilight years. Stick with a team with runs on the board David Fifita. Robb 4218

What a ‘suck up’ letter Richard Holliday has written about Fifita. The only reason Fifita would come to the Titans is the money, not the football. There are far too many grossly overpaid players and the game has lost my support forever. PJ

Thank God for the media, without them we wouldn’t have known that 130,000 Qld’ers lost their jobs over this COVID-19 crises, but not one of Annastacia’s 256,000 public servants were stood down with no pay. As a matter of fact, the Premier sent thousands of them home to work from home, a bit of sneaky Labor strategy to hide them from the eyes of the media and the public. When the LNP wins the October election, expect thousands of those totally unnessessary jobs to disappear which Campbell Newman did to stop the drainage of the public purse. Walter, retired accountant Hope Island.

Oh yes. You know where all the cool people are going to drink the best coffee and, no, not talk crap ... Pimpama City Shopping Centre. No fire ants allowed. Poppy Pimpama

The borders are opening according to our Premier. Great said all the border locals, we can go shopping. Prior to midday Friday, we had road blocks and border passes and long queues. After midday on Friday, we had road blocks, new border passes with even longer queues. The headline didn’t exactly match the reality. GT

I suggest Shaun Cunneen take up comedy after reading his offer to chair a debate on whether climate change actually exists, and have to spend a couple of hours listening to his lefty drivel. As for Shaun’s letter (9/7) bagging other writers Ken Wade, T Brien, Peter Campion and Ron Nightingale only proves Shaun’s self-opinionated problem he likes to project. The only person attending Mr Cunneen’s debate will be his other doomsday preacher mate Jim Taylor. Linda, retired rural teacher and antigreens

Hey Shaun Cunneen, don’t you ever have a laugh? Why are you and your lefty socialist mates always so angry.

I wonder if the training of those 900 US marines who arrived in Darwin will be monitored by China from the harbour they lease in Darwin? Barney
