AUSSIE RULES: All four of Palm Beach Currumbin’s Aussie rules sides qualified for their respective AFLQ Schools Cup finals. PBC and Helensvale will clash in the senior and junior male grand finals.

FOOTBALL: The penultimat­e round of the Gold Coast Premier League kicks off on Saturday. Nerang hosts Palm Beach, Surfers Paradise plays Burleigh Heads, Robina tackles Coomera and Broadbeach takes on Southport.

FIELD HOCKEY: Labrador Tigerstix have the chance to step closer to back-to-back BHL premiershi­ps with a semi-final clash with Commercial in Brisbane.

RUGBY UNION: Just two weeks remain in the GCDRU season. Griffith Uni Knights visit Coomera Crushers, Bond Pirates host Surfers Paradise and Gold Coast Eagles welcome Nerang Bulls.

CRICKET: In Kookaburra Cup action, Burleigh will be looking to claim its first win of the season against Queens. As will Surfers Paradise, who take on Helensvale Pacific Pines. Southport Labrador’s heart rate has finally returned to normal following a dramatic last-ball victory against Coomera Hope Island as it prepares to play Broadbeach Robina. Alberton Ormeau faces Mudgeeraba Nerang, the Colts play Coomera Hope Island and Palm Beach Currumbin takes on Runaway Bay.

RUGBY UNION: Bond University’s maiden trip to the Queensland Premier Rugby finals begins on Sunday when it takes on GPS at Ballymore. Bond was defeated 34-22 the last time the sides faced off.

FOOTBALL: The Gold Coast Knights will be looking to return to the winners’ list when they host Lions FC on Saturday night. Meanwhile, Gold Coast United travel to play Brisbane City FC on Saturday.

GRIDIRON: The Gold Coast Stingrays will hit the road with fixtures against Logan City Bears (Men and Juniors) and Griffith University Thunder (Colts).

FOOTBALL: Gold Coast United’s women’s side will look to continue its incredible charge towards the top of the table with a Saturdayni­ght clash against Moreton Bay. United has only lost one game so far.
