FOOTBALL: The second leg of the Gold Coast Premier League play-off between Runaway Bay and Broadbeach kicks off on Saturday. Broadbeach won 4-1 in the first leg, leaving the Bayhawks with work to do.

HOCKEY: Gold Coast Hockey grand finals are in full swing and the action continues on Saturday at Labrador. Eight premiershi­ps are set to be decided, including the blockbuste­r division one grand finals.

FOOTBALL: Gold Coast United’s NPLW could take one step closer to the 2020 league title with a crucial match against the first-placed Lions awaiting them on Saturday night

NETBALL: The Bond University Bull Sharks will fight to remain in finals contention this weekend with a challengin­g double header. First they face Cougars on Saturday followed by the USC Thunder on Sunday.

CRICKET: After a washout last weekend, Kookaburra Cup sides will be hoping the rain stays away for Round 4 fixtures across the Coast. Southport Labrador is set to host Colts, Surfers Paradise faces Alberton Ormeau, Broadbeach Robina is preparing to take on Queens, Burleigh will be chasing its first win of the season against Runaway Bay, Mudgeeraba Nerang plays Palm Beach Currumbin while Helensvale Pacific Pines is slated to play Coomera Hope Island.

FOOTBALL: Gold Coast United will have the chance to get back on the winners list against Redlands United FC on Saturday night in NPL action. The Gold Coast Knights played the late fixture on Friday night.

RUGBY UNION: Colleges v Gators and Bulls v Hogs are the GCDRU’s first grade semi-final clashes. In second grade, Crushers take on minor premiers Colleges and Eagles will play off with Nerang.

GRIDIRON: It’s the first home game of the year for the Stingrays. The men and colts will host the Bayside Ravens while the juniors welcome the Logan City Bears.

BASEBALL: Surfers Paradise will take on Mudgeeraba in the first Gold Coast derby of the year, a twogame series. Coomera will travel to Redcliffe to take on the Padres on Saturday and Sunday.
