TITANS IN THE PROPERTY GAME
GOLD Coast Titans players and senior management staff have quietly invested millions of dollars in the hot property market, buying up homes often before they even hit the market.
Centre Brian Kelly was the most recent player to settle on a family home with wife Marissa, secured off-market in the leafy suburb of Worongary.
The four-bedroom house on an 887sq m block has a man cave and second dwelling to accommodate visiting family.
Forward and rookie of the year Jaimin Jolliffe also put down roots after signing a full-time contract with Gold Coast, snapping up a
stylish three-bedroom duplex in a popular pocket of Varsity Lakes ahead of its scheduled auction date.
The club’s CEO Steve Mitchell and general manager of commercial Jonathon Stewart also splashed out on homes in some of the Coast’s most soughtafter addresses, on the waterfront in Palm Beach, and bordering bushland in Currumbin Waters.
Titans prop and State of Origin player Moeaki Fotuaika made his first foray into real estate, albeit north of the Coast in the Logan suburb of Crestmead. He bought a dual-living property where he lives with his two brothers, both also talented footballers.
Titans co-captain Kevin Proctor is on the hunt for a new dream beachside pad after selling his renovated Burleigh house this year.
Collectively, the buy-up totals around $4.35m, with negotiations for each of the properties handled by buyer’s agent and former Titans hooker, Matt Srama.
Mr Srama said most of the properties were secured offmarket, allowing the high-profile buyers to avoid the competitive aspect of real estate and instead focus on the competition on field.
