THE QUADDIE

RACE 4 – OPEN HANDICAP (1200M)

Boblee was a drifting favourite second-up and ended up too far back in the run. Expecting a better showing here. Papa Jo ran second to Malahide two starts back at Ipswich and that form should be good enough to figure here. Bold Warrior is worth including despite dropping back in trip. Does have an excellent record at the track and won here last start.

Cruze should not be underestimated having his third run back from a spell and will be worth going after.

SELECTIONS: 7 Boblee, 6 Papa Jo, 4 Bold Warrior, 1 Cruze

RACE 5 – BENCHMARK 65 (1800M)

Adelaide’s Diamond was a beaten favourite at Doomben last start but returns to his home track where he bolted in two starts back on a heavy 10. Elotrolado stuck-on well for third last start behind Zayydani and has not run a bad race this preparation. Honey Baby ran third this track and distance last start and should be competitive here again. Thrasher gets the blinkers back on and did win her maiden here on a heavy track.

SELECTIONS: 3 Adelaide’s Diamond, 6 Elotrolado, 7 Honey Baby, 13 Thrasher

RACE 6 – 3YO HANDICAP (1400M)

Jetty drifted badly in the betting first- up and failed to fire. Ran second to Tycoon Evie twice last prep and looks dangerous despite the wide draw. Paredo contested some quality races before running second at the Sunshine Coast last start and looks the main danger. Safeeya is having her first Queensland start after changing stables. Watch for any market support. Rogue Rocker has won both starts this prep and should be charging home late.

SELECTIONS: 2 Jetty, 3 Paredo, 10 Safeeya, 1 Rogue Rocker

RACE 7 – BENCHMARK 65 (1300M)

Rich Devil is first-up following two trial wins and impressively won his first two race starts last preparation. Bells Approaching was only narrowly beaten when resuming last start at Casino and appears the testing material. King’s Rule is looking to bring up the hat-trick of wins here and should push forward from the wide draw. Dynamic Thinker is yet to win from three firstup attempts.

SELECTIONS: 7 Rich Devil, 4 Bells Approaching, 6 King’s Rule, 1 Dynamic Thinker
