RACE 5 – Benchmark 70 Handicap (900m)
Never Paid is in terrific form and was a convincing winner two starts back here at Aquis Park on the heavy track. Global Citizen resumes after more than a year on the sidelines but had two recent trials and did win at this track and distance first-up last campaign. Flora brings strong NSW form into the equation and has won in the heavy going previously. Moonan Joyce was an impressive winner firstup and should run well here again.

RACE 6 – Class 1 Handicap (900m)
Modesto did not miss a placing in his first campaign and comes into this following a convincing trial win. Should have the speed to cross from the wide alley. All Stashed Up won on debut at Ipswich and a repeat performance would see her in the mix. Dark Horse is having his first Queensland start and showed a good turn-of-foot in a recent trial win. Ganesh Talai should find this easier than his first-up assignment and maps favourably from the low draw.

RACE 7 – Open Handicap (1100m)
Weona Smartone is resuming and bolted in at this track and distance at his only run in the heavy going. Looks a moral if he doesn’t run at Doomben. Wudang Blade had no luck in a tougher race last start at Doomben and goes well in the wet. Plague Stone is resuming and did win the Mick Dittman as a 3YO first-up on a heavy track. Modelka is looking for four-in-a-row but is untried in heavy track conditions.

RACE 8 – Benchmark 65 Handicap (1400m)
The Driller returns to his home track, has drawn perfectly and is unbeaten at this track and distance. Bengal Bandit has raced well since moving to Queensland including a convincing win at the Sunshine Coast last start and should be able to cross from the wide draw. Storm Attack was only narrowly defeated here last start and should race on the speed from the low draw. Happy Babe loves this track and trip and is sure to be highly competitive here again.
