What time do you wake up on a Saturday? After spending most of my life having to get up early on a Saturday, I now try not to set an alarm, so I usually wake up about 7am.

Local coffee haunt?

Bellissimo Coffee on Oxford St in Bulimba (in Brisbane’s eastern suburbs).

Favourite restaurant?

Gerard’s Bistro on James St (in Fortitude Valley).

Favourite takeaway?

Burgertime 69 on Oxford St (also in Bulimba).

Favourite pub/bar to catch up with friends?

Green Beacon Brewing in Teneriffe (in Brisbane’s inner-north).

Best place to meet people?

Joining a social sporting team is my tip for meeting new people.

Where and when do you exercise?

I like to exercise in the morning daily.

I get up and do a mat pilates class at home from an app, and I join a group of friends and do a Run Club twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings in New Farm Park.

Best hidden treasure in Queensland?

Mount Ngungun in the Sunshine Coast hinterland (the sixth tallest of the Glass House Mountains, north of Brisbane). It’s less than an hour’s drive from Brisbane, and my favourite place to go for a sunset picnic.

Favourite place to holiday in Queensland?

I recently went to Hamilton Island, and now I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the Whitsundays.

What’s your idea of the perfect Saturday?

Wake up very early and head up the Sunshine Coast and go out for a scuba dive at the shipwreck EX-HMAS Brisbane, get back around lunch time, have fish and chips for lunch, chill by the beach for a few hours, watch the sunset and then head back to Brisbane.
