So now our new PM has created a new position of Minister for the Republic. We don’t have a republic, so what does this waste of money do for a job? Does he just sit and pray that one of the most respected people on the planet passes away? Why wasn’t this mentioned in the lead up to the election? Peter

Absolutely correct about soccer in this country by DS (2/6). As has been stated many times before over the past 100 years or more, it’s greatest strength (being the world’s game) is also its greatest weakness. (Not being able to keep our best players), and just a feeder competition for the rest of the world. Nothing will change as we are not America with 50 million Latinos living there and growing. The World Cup being held there in 4 years time (2026) will help make it a major sport after that. Until that happens here, soccer coverage will always be minimal in all forms here in Australia. With the Olympics coming here in 2032, the FIFA World Cup here in 2034 would be a perfect follow up, as one or more European countries will get to host 2030.

As long as someone else is willing to shop, slice, dice, chop and present bags of fresh assorted, ready-to-eat healthy salad 1926 stuff ROBERT – I’m absolutely EARL HUGHES in and willing American to pay! man Thank you good folk!

Thank goodness we’ve moved on and come so very far from the days where women had no other option, than to give up their children for adoption! And thank bloody goodness, laws have changed to rightfully allow mother and child to be reunited!

Thank bloody Christ, Depp/heard fiasco is finally over!!!!!!

The laws governing the administration of water and mineral resources in Australia might as well have been drawn up by miners and irrigation users. Valuable water resources are being stolen, many mines are not rehabilitated and some multinationals pay no tax in Australia. Wake up Australia. I watched Penny Wong's presentation to the Samoa government but after a lot of "ums" I fell asleep! As we all just sick and tired of our hard-earned taxes paying the salaries of public servants who in the last 10 days still have not outlined their policies for keeping the gears of this great nation running. there has not been a single day Albo’s team have wasted time constantly nitpicking and openly undermining all the work the previous Liberal govt did to manage the country in the most challenging time of this decade. So much lack of humility is the core of Labor. It’s a no wonder the party likes using excuses to raise taxes to fund the public purse for their mates’ jobs. You guys are now running business so pull up your sleeves and get down to doing the job you applied for and stop rambling.

Hey u greens n teals! Suck eggs.

When you choose to smoke you are, indeed, putting a big sign on your forehead saying “Second Class Citizen”. After losing the election and the climate war. the Coalition will be looking to start another wasteful and divisive war about something taxing a leaf from the US Republican copybook. Nothing whatsoever we Aussies can possibly to do help there. best just deal with what's on our own piates. here in Oz eh? Ooroo Just another usual bloody horrific godawful mass shooting in America eh? Nothing will ever change there. until they get a president with big enough balls to take on the way-to influential. gun lobbying rednecks! We can only live in hope, eh? Amen

Shoppers shocked @ small local supermarket chain’s outrageous double digest prices 4 basic vegies!! I walked through one once 30+ yrs ago when first married (learning how 2 b a hubby, that in itself is a hilarious story 4 another day) 2 quickly realise prices that didn’t seem right, until compared with others! Never bought anything then and never walked in 2 one since!! Best way to teach them lessons? Stop shopping there!! But if u continue and just whinge, who’s the goose then!! Fools & their $s r quickly parted!!

Every day so many lives are lost to Covid. But what are the govt actually doing now to prevent this? 8500 lives in total lost in Australia alone. Prevention methods still need to be implemented.
