RACE 5 – Benchmark 58 (1400m)
Timely Shadow was not beaten far after coming from a long way back last start and can settle closer this time from the low draw. Princess Sparkles has raced well at both runs this preparation and is the clear danger despite the big weight. Daulat Machtigamor should take improvement from her first-up run and has a good record at this track and trip. Star Seeker is the likely leader and could give plenty of cheek in front with the 3kg claim.

RACE 6 – Benchmark 58 (1400m)
Fast Thinker is a track and distance specialist and can go one better this time with a cushier run from the inside draw. Regal Edition found trouble in the concluding stages last start at Ipswich and should be storming home late from well-back. Sir Gunsen should strip fitter here second-up and is more than capable of getting into the money. Thunder Moon is yet to fire this preparation but should show improvement back onto firmer going.

RACE 7 – Open Handicap (1200m)
Gogol returns to his beloved home track and was far from disgraced in the Lightening Handicap on resumption last start at Eagle Farm. The Pines is second-up from a spell and can threaten here back onto a firmer surface. Brazen Gem drops 3.5kg on her last-start second on the poly track and can get into the money. Freddie Fox Trot should not be discounted third-up from a spell and can definitely carry the weight.

RACE 8 – Restricted 58 (1200m)
Perfect Quality should be ready to peak third-up and should get a favourable run from the low draw. Prime Asset has drawn inside again after leading all-the-way to break his maiden last start and could be in this for a long way. Sizzling River resumes after breaking his maiden last preparation and should be charging home. Gem Of The Lochs is an experienced placegetter and can also run-on late if the speed is on. Princess Zeddy makes her Queensland debut.
