RACE 5 – Class 4 Handicap (1400m)
Witchfulthinking brings strong southern form into her first Queensland assignment and is the stand-out top selection. The Driller was doing his best work late after getting a long way back resuming at Doomben last start and looks to be the main danger. Windemere has the class to win this if she is ready to go first-up from a spell. Watch for any market support. Brook Hill should improve out to his pet distance and can get into the money.

RACE 6 – Class 1 Set Weights F&M (1100m)
Her Empire is having her first Queensland start and should be very hard to beat on her Victorian form which includes two thirds at The Valley last preparation. Not Another contested some tougher affairs last preparation and looks to be the main danger here second-up. Bright Daisy ran third when resuming on a heavy track and should be competitive once again. My Adeline produced two good heavy track runs here following her maiden victory and should run well

RACE 7 – Class 1 Set Weights C,G&E (1100m)
Beaux Rumble is resuming after being gelded and easily won his maiden here first-up last preparation before finishing third in a 3YO Quality race. Manhood also returns from a break and won his maiden over this track and trip last preparation. Eureka Boom won his maiden convincingly at Doomben last start and could go on with it here. Logomania is another that resumes and did tackle tougher races last preparation, so expecting a bold performance.

RACE 8 – Benchmark 68 Handicap (1100m)
Never Paid is clear top pick with the claim offsetting the huge impost. Should be winning if he does not run at Eagle Farm. The Billionaire worked to find the front at Doomben last start and should be ready to win third-up. Poita flew home from wellback last start and with luck can go one better. Ourconi chased home Never Paid last start and won here on heavy the start prior. Lime Soda ran third at Doomben first-up and can get into the money.
