What time do you wake up on a Saturday? Do you have a routine?

With sevenmonth-old Tillie Rose in the house there’s no sleeping-in happening on any day of the week, but if I’m not getting up to go and cook somewhere, coffee and family snuggles in bed with Erin [Yarwood, 36], Aluna, 4 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and counting, and Tillie, is our usual start to the weekend.

Where and when do you exercise? I run most days. I’m lucky enough to live in an area with lots of bush trails so I tend to stick to them because it’s nice and peaceful. Along the Noosa River is another favourite path.

What’s your go-to weekend breakfast?

Avocado on sourdough toast with poached eggs and kimchi. I could eat that every day.

Favourite park? Noosa National Park.

Best place to go with dogs? I take Daisy (mini daxie), Royce (shar pei) and Gypsy (American bulldog) to Castaways Beach for a run, and there’s Bluff Creek Campground (Kenilworth) for camping with dogs.

Best park to go with kids? I really like Kenilworth Town Park in the centre of town but there’s a great looking new kids’ park, Hinterland Adventure Playground, in Cooroy I’d love to check out.

Coffee haunt? Trail 518, Spill de Beans and Pomona Village Kitchen get equal love.

Favourite takeaway? Dhoms Thai at Pomona Markets on Saturday mornings. Good proper Thai made from scratch.

Best spot for date night and why?

Hinterland Restaurant in Cooran, run by my friends Dion and Amy.

Best Queensland beach? Putney Beach, Great Keppel Island.

Favourite bacon recipe? Smoked bacon, leek and brie quiche – another Saturday morning breakfast/brunch favourite.

Favourite Queensland winery? Symphony Hill, Granite Belt.

Favourite place to holiday in Queensland?

Cape Hillsborough, north of Mackay. There are kangaroos on the beach and clouds of butterflies. It’s a magical spot that holds a special place in my heart.

Favourite farmers/produce market?

Noosa Farmers Market [Weyba Rd, Noosaville] every Sunday 6am-noon. There’s good produce, good snacks, good coffee.

What’s your perfect Saturday?

Just hanging with my ladies at home and not being in a hurry to get anywhere.
