Huge test to be the best in the west Finals fantasy could become reality Study up on these kings of college

SATURDAY 8.10PM

Bulldogs players thought their season was over when the Blues led the Magpies in the final round of the season, but a thrilling comeback means they snuck into eighth spot and are ready to do some damage on the road. They were well beaten by the Dockers just a few weeks ago, but head west knowing that Fremantle will be without the hamstrung Nat Fyfe. Aaron Naughton plays game 100, and the key forward faces a stern test from one of the league’s stingiest defences. Perth will be absolutely rocking, which might get the Dockers home.

SUNDAY 4.05PM

Hats off to whoever made the NRL draw because this year’s top eight could be decided in the final game of the regular season. If the Broncos beat the Dragons, it all comes down to the Raiders against the Tigers. The Green Machine will simply need to beat the team running last and eighth spot is all theirs. They’ve won eight of their past nine against the Tigers and are coming off a huge win against Manly. Everything is pointing to a big Canberra win to secure eighth spot, but stranger things have happened at Leichhardt Oval.

SUNDAY 9.30AM

We’re one week away from the start of the NFL season, and there is no better way to prepare yourself than a full slate of Sunday college football. There are plenty of cracking contests, but none better than Ohio State against Notre Dame. Ohio State is ranked second heading into the season, while Notre Dame rounds out the top five as the rest try to take down Alabama. Both teams missed out on the top four last season, but Ohio State has grand plans, with quarterback CJ Stroud expected to be one of 2022’s best players.
