RACE 6 – Class 3 Plate (1200m)

-

Not Another Reiby makes his Queensland debut with three minor placings in Sydney so far this campaign and should be in the finish. Safework looks ideally suited under plate conditions and although unplaced from seven starts at his home track, they were all strong races. Zuma California comes off a last-start victory, gets a 3kg claim and ran second to Prince Of Boom in the 3YO Jewel here back in March. Win Burn is moving through the grades nicely and is expected to run well again.

SELECTIONS: 5 Not Another Reiby, 6 Safework, 8 Zuma California, 10 Win Burn

RACE 7 – Pink Ribbon Cup (1200m)

Me Me Lagarde finished second in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas before heading to Sydney where she got too far back on the heavy and can win first-up. Tara Jasmine was heavily backed at double-figures and duly saluted last start. A repeat performance puts her right in contention. Queen Of Dubai resumes after a long spell and won a listed race in Melbourne last year. Vaccine has been sharp this preparation with three wins from four starts. Hakkai Maru was too good fresh and drops 6kg.

SELECTIONS: 1 Me Me Lagarde, 2 Tara Jasmine, 8 Queen Of Dubai, 9 Vaccine, 10 Hakkai Maru

RACE 8 – Benchmark 90 (1350m)

Sir Rocket loves blasting his way around Aquis Park Gold Coast and will appreciate getting back onto firmer ground. Matowatakpe was only narrowly beaten at his first Queensland start when returning from a spell and has been supported early. Hasabro should also be fitter here second-up after running third in the Tattersall’s Cup when resuming and gets the benefit of a 3kg claim. Ligulate also receives a 3kg claim and can sneak into the money now thirdup fit.

SELECTIONS: 6 Sir Rocket, 7 Matowatakpe, 2 Hasabro, 1 Ligulate

RACE 9 – Benchmark 75 (1350m)

Enterprise Mia got no favours in the run last start at Doomben on the heavy surface and can bounce back here. Deep Sceiva stuck-on OK after over-racing in the listed Tattersall’s Cup last start and is a chance here third-up from a spell. Harlequin Field is aiming to make it a hat-trick and does love this track and distance. Mississippi Prince has chalked up four wins from five starts this campaign and the only defeat was when he was run down on the line by the narrowest of margins.

SELECTIONS: 6 Enterprise Mia, 5, Deep Sceiva, 3 Harlequin Field, 13 Mississippi Prince
