Palachuck only good for TV grandstanding, investigations, reviews, and standing behind her poor performing ministers. What has she really done for us? You voted for her. Wake Up

There seems to be a lot of people who have never had a proper job, critising a hard working very successful woman attempting to help sport. Jack

My opinion of Dr Charlie Teo hasn’t changed. I still think he is a wonderful neurosurgeon with good ethics who I would seek out for an op if required.

The best way to tackle climate change is to scrap the $11 billion per year we spend subsidising fossil fuels. Ajs

B2 by all means let’s clean up our environment, but at the same time let’s not kid ourselves that EVS, solar panels & wind turbines (all of which are not recyclable) are going to do the job. Go hybrid cars & nuclear power. John Mc

Netball Australia Questioning Gina Rinehart’s ideals on First Nation people. I have one question for them - Did she put any stipulations on her $15m donation, like no indigenous people allowed on the team? No? Then why question her ideals.

To No Name who suggests they are asking a genuine question, we have one for you. What predictions from these so called scientists have come true- Ozman

Would you believe Dan Andrews refused to dam the Marybnong

River. Because he said with Climate Change there would never be enough rain to fill a dam. The man needs to be sued - Stan Forgham

The only concern I can see with the Medibank cyber attack is if the Medicare numbers are linked to a bank account for rebates. All the other information is no secret to scams, real estate agents & charities. Barney.

So Shaun what you need to understand is that when crimes are committed it’s the severity of the crime that determines the sentence, not race or colour of the offender, anything else is racist. Also Shaun can you explain where the $30B a year from taxpayers and all the royalties paid by mining company’s over many years, haven’t made one bit of difference to the aboriginal situation? What you are suggesting is just divisive. The real solution is to work together as one people of a proud nation, respect all cultures and live in the present not the past. This is my land as well. Super E.

Woke: ‘aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice). MiriamWebster. Stay woke. B2

Some lefty loonies are saying that cows emit more dangerous gasses than cars. Here’s a challenge, I’ll be locked in a garage overnight with a cow and you in another with a running car. We’ll catch up in the morning. Any takers out there? Johnbrew

Congratulations on closing Mt warning nsw we would like to add Burleigh headland and Currumbin and the Glasshouse Mountains. Commonsense has to prevail. I love this country

Mt Warning for all Australians. May need to identify as aboriginal for the day so I can walk the mountain. Redneck

Re Shaun Cunneen 26/10 letter. You state that there are not many indigenous people working in the mines yet many live in the towns. Have you asked the mines how many indigenous people apply for jobs? Could be that we are too generous with our welfare payments or they are collecting royalties. Just wanting to know the ‘whole’ truth.

I know it’s a relatively new comp, but the AFLW must go to a full round of home and away games (17 rounds)asap,to gain not only relevance but credibility as well in comparison to other female sports.it’s achievable,if the competition extends into the summer months with finals in February.you play most games at night in the new year to avoid the heat, and allow 2 sets of byes if needed.(round 6and7, plus12and13)and your problems are mostly solved .Hopefully by season 10 it comes to full fruition with an extra round of derbies if there bodies can handle it.the Godfather

In 1987 Bob Hawke said, By 1990 no child will be living in poverty.. fast forward 40 years to 2027, and no child will be living with electricity. Mick Labrador

I don’t own a home on the ocean front but even if I did it would not change my strongly held belief that public access should be available to waterways, wherever that is practicable. However, constructing the Oceanway on fragile frontal sand dunes where it can be damaged by severe weather events, which are predicted to become more frequent and more

severe in the future, is fool-hardy and a waste of ratepayers money. Not continuing with the Oceanway will save money and the public can continue to access beaches.

Optus and Medibank have both been hacked, mostly due, it seems, to inadequate protection. It would be nice if these shareholder based companies did something decent for the customers they failed to protect, and offered substantial savings as a genuine apology. Martin Oxenford

Is it true that Netball Australia have asked Lidia Thorpe to get sponsorship from The Bandidos? John Mc

Why is diesel fuel so expensive, why is the TWU silent about this, why are transport business that use diesel not asking questions, why aren’t public consumers of diesel asking questions, why is the media mute on this????? Where’s the ACCC’S take on this ???? Barry.

Anon, (GCB, 27/10). That “custodians” story is a black armband myth. The first people in Australia (Negritoes) came during an ice age. They killed and ate all the megafauna, driving them to extinction. They used “firestick

farming”, which destroyed the deciduous trees and left firetolerant eucalypts (fireweeds). Within 10,000 years they’d changed Australia forever. Then the Murraysians came and adopted all the Negritoes’ bad habits, then ate them. Then the Carpentarians came (Australia’s third wave immigrants) and did the same. When the current interglacial period began life got easier for the Carpentarians but they couldn’t advance to farming without megafauna to pull ploughs, so they stagnated. History Chick

Richard Marles blames Ukraine for soaring gas price. LOL. We have plenty of gas and we should never have signed up for globalism. Nor should we be supporting Ukraine, which is where the wealthy elites launder the money they steal from taxpayers. Jonno
