Gosh what’s happened to Kenw and his attention grabbing texts, has he turned his back on all us fans of his or has the Bulletin blocked his texts because he is too straight to the point controversial and calls a spade a spade and not some sooky greenie sucked into climate change drivel and chooses to say it the way it is. Ken is a born and bred Gc’er and I can assure the Bulletin Ken has a huge following out there. Ken Fanatic

Keith Woods Re: National Service, what planet are you on? Unfortunately kids of today are taught to hate their country, despise their flag and thumb their noses at authority. You say you have seen behind University and TAFE, well so have I, and I see a

different side. Maybe 1 in 10 have got what it takes to succeed, the rest are just to entitled and struggle to learn and critical thinking is beyond them. All Tony Abbot is saying, is we as a Nation need some way of restoring National Pride and love of our Country. Super E

I think security guards should be fully trained in self-defence. Some of those in our shopping centres must only be working part time so it doesn’t affect their pension. Barney

Re Brian Measday’s letter that the last time greenhouse gas emissions were as bad as they are now, was “millions of years ago”, who caused that “climate change” because no humans existed back then? MJM

Hi Sim - we all have history but those who choose to live in the past have no future. Perhaps you would have preferred a Japanese Invasion during World War II - Mrs Wise

Dr Meg Perkins - what a load of pchyo jargon. They must go into boot camp not your loving arms – Ozman

Hey Coolykev, people take their dogs to brekkie and lunch at restaurants and cafes so the house is empty allowing the youth criminals a clear run to steal their valuables and cars. Simples. Oldie Carrara

Wait, what? “Nobody said the vaccines would stop the spread?” (Anonymous, 09/11) Have you suffered a head injury recently? Literally everyone said that. It was the whole basis of the mandates that were unlawful under Section 51(xxiiia) of the Australian Constitution. Heysoos Wept, GC

How can the state reject proposed amendments that the local council have worked years in putting together based on lengthy community consultation. Stop bowing down to developers and start listening to the community! Angry local.

Here they go again, Labor shows it’s true colours- fuel tax up, property tax up, Medicare levy up, food costs up, interest rates up, power bills up, and those parasites looking at taxing your Super more, but stage 3 tax cuts no way ! I hope that all those silly bogans that voted for this hopeless mobare in a lot of pain now- you deserve this. Stan, GC

It’s official. The basis for the state government’s planning policy is to jam as many dwellings as possible into the available space. No thought given to narrow streets, inadequate car parking, choked highways, insufficient infrastructure and services, increased crime and other issues that contribute to a loss of amenity. Quality of life counts for zilch when it comes to planning.

Ha ha Aussies out of T20 semis just shows you arrogance doesn’t win you matches and as my mum says cheaters never prosper. West Miami

The Albanese govt so far are doing a brilliant job, they’re focusing on helping the silent ppl, disadvantaged, ppl with disabilities, our first nation ppl, ppl in domestic violence, something previous govts have failed to do. theres hope with this govt, previous govts just ignored the the ppl’s plight, to busy brown nosing with big business & the wealthy, feathering their own nests whilst covering up inappropriate behaviour.

It’s ironic that there are people suggesting a Voice to Parliament will divide the Australian nation. For many, many years after a British penal colony was established on the east coast of Australia in 1788, the indigenous people were treated differently, or divisively, by authorities and didn’t have the right to vote or engage in society in other ways. A Voice to Parliament is part of an ongoing reconciliation process aimed at healing a shameful divide created so long ago.
