SCORCHING STAR VALUE IN BBL FINAL

- POWERED BY CODE BET. COMPILED BY JAYMZ CLEMENTS, CODEBET. COM. AU

AFTER 60 games and countless highs, lows, subplots and sixes deposited into stands, it’s time for the BBL 12 final.

Perth Scorchers dominated all season and now go up against the fairytale story of Brisbane Heat, which made it to the last dance all the way from fifth.

PERTH SCORCHERS: $1.44 BRISBANE HEAT: $2.72

THE RECORD AT HOME

THE Scorchers have won an unbelievable 12 of their past 13 BBL home games - and one more win will give them the title. What makes them so good at home is that they handle the conditions better than any team.

The Scorchers’ top five - Cameron Bancroft, Stephen Eskinazi, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis and Ashton Turner - are all able to win the game off of their own bat.

Last time these two teams played, it was Inglis and Hardie who dominated. Perth Scorchers most runs - Aaron Hardie: $4.35

THEY CAN ALL TAKE WICKETS

JASON Behrendorff will open the bowling and look to beat the Heat batsmen with pace and swing.

He set the tone for the Scorchers in ‘The Qualifier’, taking 2-17 from four overs.

David Payne, the left-arm quick from England, will try to bring the pain and could get under the guard of the opposition - but not the punters.

He took three wickets in the ‘The Qualifier’ against the Sixers and is in great form, having taken nine wickets in five games.

Perth Scorchers most wickets - David Payne: $4.55

OPENING PRESSURE

WITH test stars Matt Renshaw, Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne out of the Heat side, the pressure falls on big-hitting Josh Brown to score the runs.

Brown has led the Heat run-scorers in four matches this season and loves to face fast bowlers, using their pace to smash boundaries. The Scorchers are filled with pace bowlers and sometimes don’t even bowl spin. So Brown will love this match-up, and with a poor batting line-up knows he will need to lift to get them over the line.

Brisbane Heat most runs - Josh Brown: $4.90

RISING STAR

A LATE inclusion to the Heat squad, Spencer Johnson will love bowling 150km thunderbolts on this fast, bouncy Perth pitch.

Using dot ball pressure from the experienced Michael

Neser bowling down the other end, this fast-bowling pair is extremely hard to get away and take plenty of wickets.

Johnson has the most dot balls bowled by any Brisbane bowler.

And this pressure will net him multiple wickets, as he showed in ‘The Challenger’ final with three.

Brisbane Heat most wickets - Spencer Johnson: $4.70
