BMW’S Zzz-series

BMW is striving to be a leader in autonomous cars, revealing a plan that showcases autonomous tech that’s just four years from road-readiness. The car BMW currently labels the ‘inext’ (right) will launch in 2021 and boast and all-electric drivetrain with a 500km driving range. But these are unimportant details compared to the car’s real party trick. “The special thing about it”, says BMW research and development chief Klaus Frölich, “will be that it’s our first car with fully autonomous driving capabilities.” in layman’s terms, that means passengers can sleep while travelling.
